We have offered a variety of in-person training sessions for a number of years now, but as a global pandemic has changed life for many of us, we’ve had to adapt our now familiar training to an entirely different format.
Changing to remote access filled us with trepidation. The face-to-face training had gone so well, it was hard to imagine the same or even similar outcomes from a computer screen.
We have been proven wrong at so many levels.
Once we established all the security measures necessary and posted delegates their resource materials, we ran the 2 Day Foundation Training, plus the 1 Day Group Facilitator Training for the Solihull Approach with ease.
Since then we have offered many of the different Solihull Approach trainings as live-virtual format. Sure, it’s not the same as a cuppa and chat, but the word of mouth feedback has seen the demand for the training sessions increase dramatically, and we are training more trainers to train others, every year.
Here is a sample of the evaluations:
----------
"As I live in a regional area with a young family, it made life much easier for me personally to attend the training via zoom rather than two trips and accommodation in Melbourne."
"Thanks for making the training interesting, informative and fun. It is a hard time for many. "
“I loved the way you checked on each of us individually, I felt so cared for, I guess it was a feeling of being contained, ha I just realised that, well done!"
.
“Your passion definitely makes things really engaging and exciting. I was afraid of doing zoom but you were so patient and comforting, I am a convert!"
" How you kept checking in on us and even responding to our messages in chat, made me feel very much a part of it all."
“I felt like I was actually in an actual training room in real life with others!"
"I don't think I could have ever imagined staying focused for 3 days, and it was so much easier because I felt so included and supported."
“I took on so much I had no idea until I tried to explain it to a friend, I just couldn't stop talking"
"Zoom training was so good, I often forgot I was not actually in a face-to-face. Your passion and energy are contagious, I don't stay awake during training sessions, no matter how hard I try. I can't believe I didn't drift off once. I actually think the zoom was better than a room, now that is big ... lol"
" I found the delivery and activities to be 'containing' and supportive of new learning."
"There is so much information, I think the 5 minute 'look-aways' should be 10 minutes. ... I loved the way we were introduced to the manuals. I am not sure I would have gone away and read it all and that worked really well for me."
“Everyone seemed to contribute well even if it was a zoom thing. I felt like I was in the room all the time"
"The whole day I reflected, learnt heaps and reflected some more. Did you see me looking away all the time? I was really taking in so much. A great and valuable training."

The trainings have gone so well this past month that I’m making our Sleep Intensive training available for Remote Access, as well as the Solihull Approach Australia training. It’s been wonderful to have participants accept this new way of learning with open minds.
If you would like more information on what sessions are on offer, you can find information on Sleep Intensive training here, and information regarding Solihull Approach at www.solihullapproach.com.au.
Feel free to get in touch via our Contact page if you’re intrigued by any of the above!
We also have a Facebook page with a community of professionals and parents that you can reach out to.
Wishing you all well during.
